Mònica Roca i Aparici, director of isardSAT, will be one of the members of the Hypatia II mission, which will take place between February 2 and 15 2025 at the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) in Utah Desert (US). The new mission will coincide with the 11th of February, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

The crew is composed by 9 astronauts of different ages and different scientific disciplines, led by Commander Ariadna Farrés Basiana, a researcher at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center.

The objectives of the new mission are three: to promote excellence research projects, to develop outreach activities, and to make visible contemporary women in science and inspire vocations, especially among women and girls.
